clearly the seller is morbidly obese and does not run, because they can’t. This also explains why they were so lazy that they let this car sit and rot for 8 years.

Every car is running until it is parked (unless it’s crashed). It will either run now on start up or not. Classic CL move to minimize/ hide the reality of the multiple repairs needed. If I was trying to unload a crap car with a thousand problems and was a slime ball, I would take out the battery to show it. “Good car,just needs a battery”.
